hehe..that's a good one. :) It's 2 full CD's, 675 megs on each CD. The game is based off of a Dark Horse Comic, and the story line is incredible. There are 4 crew members on a colonial terraforming ship that go from planet to planet, doing repairs and dropping off supplies. The 4 characters are really well developed...a lot better than the characters in the first Alien movie. The leader is Lt. Col H. Hericksen, a former colonial marine who was booted out for cowardice in the field of battle. During an alien attack, he crapped his pants and left his team to die. (this game takes place quite a few years after the ALIENS movie, since aliens are well known by now.) Then there's Lora MGuiness, a real wench. All she does is complain, and get on your nerves. The Captian of the USS Sheradin (the ship) is Mac Williams, a real professional. Then there's O'Conner, the science officer who is obsessed with aliens. His family was attacked by them when he was young, and he's had to have a lot of skin and some organs replaced because of the number they did on him. Still, he sorta worships them...skoopy. I think the whole story with the alien attack on his family is fake...I think he's a synthetic like Ash and Bishop...so does Williams. :)
The game doesn't really play like any game I've seen before. It's sort of a searching game, like Bioforge, but you don't actually walk around. The game is also full of incredible animation. Everything is SVGA and fully 3D renedered. It's the best computer animation I've seen in a game.
Also, while you're playing, there's Alien-like spooky music playing in the background, but it's in midi format. The best thing about the game though, is that the music is also on WAV format on the CD's. If you play it with a WAV player (in Windows or something), you'd swear you were listening to a real music CD. The music is preformed by an orchestra, and rivals the music of James Horner in Aliens.
Finally, the best part of the game: it's damn scary :) If you're an Aliens fan, you'll find the game really scary. The game is really loyal to the first 2 movies, in that it takes forever to actually see an alien, and a big chunk of the first part is spent just worrying that they're not around the corner waiting to rip you to shreds. Dark Horse's dark, gloomy atmosphere is also perfect for the game.
Sorry about the message being so long, but no one seems to have ever heard of the game (it just popped out of nowhere) so I thought I'd give it a worthy discription for everyone who doesn't know about it.
