Actually, I'd have to disagree with you there --- or, I feel that I should point something out. :)
Every CD that Green Day has released, their first one (can't recall the name), Kerplunk!, Dookie, and now Insomniac --- every one has a very similar sound. The merits of that are debatable, I suppose, but my point is that their sound hasn't changed in 7 or more years. And they were hardly commercialized when they released their first album and Kerplunk! on that small label (again, can't remember the name). I mean, those two albums sold only about 500,000 copies combined. :)
As far as the album goes, well, I like Dookie, and I'm listening to Insomniac right now --- and it's good, IMHO.
