That may be. Remember that it takes some time to discover the features of large programs. It doesn't mean it's worthless ust because you install it, look at it for 5 minutes, and decide it's worthless because you can't spend the time to learn it properly.

Actually, I would say that most are probably above average intelligence. Seeing as you require a university degree to work at Microsoft (or any other worthwhile company)... that's not something you come by if you're a moron.
Besides, Windows 95 is arguably the most complex operating system ever developed, and with something that approaches 10 million lines of C and C++ code, it is virtually impossible to make it bug-free. The reason the beta period lasted so long was so that the product could be as bug free as possible while still shipping in a reasonable amount of time. Think of how bad it could have been if it came out in November 1994 as originally planned.
