I'm saying that they ARE NOT their own country! And they DO have their own
pension plan! and many other powers that the other provinces do not. they
didn't demand anything. Nothing. What they did was try to fool the people into
believing that they could vote for separation and that Canada would still be
stupid enough to allow them to keep their Canadian passports (in addition of
course to their new Quebec ones!), and that we would of course co-operate in
allowing them to use our currency, and that we would be foolhardy enough to
re-open trade negotiations with the USA and take a beating at the bargaining
table just so poor little Quebec could get a look in on the deals... Parizeau
is not strange - Parizeau is not stupid - he just thinks everyone is. He is a
sly, conniving man who could hardly breath with the Prime Ministership of a
new republic dangling in front of his eyes. Parizeau puts Partizeau first last
and in the middle.
