Oh, I know there are scads of Irish in Quebec... and they do gravitate to the
French because probably of the religious ties. And of course traditionally the
English and Irish have been mortal enemies for a long long time... :)

Re the boats... are you referring to the potatoe famine times? that was a
very long time ago...
